Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Names 2012 Associate, Manager And Team Of The Year

Following its third year as the newest luxury beach resort on Florida’s Gulf Coast, Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa proudly recognizes resort concierge Gary Hidu as employee of the year, sales manager Megan Duby as manager of the year and the engineering department as team of the year for their achievements and contributions to the resort’s overwhelming success in 2012.


A 20-year veteran of the travel industry, Gary Hidu honed his skills at designing vacations while working at his family’s New Jersey travel agency before moving to Clearwater Beach five years ago.  Since then, he has spent countless hours scouring the destination for the best activities, restaurants, shopping and attractions.  Armed with a surplus of ideas and recommendations as well as an ability to keenly understand guests’ individual needs, Hidu is a leader in his field.  He has even earned membership in the prestigious Les Clefs d’Or, the premier national organization of hotel lobby concierges.      


Meeting connections sales manager Megan Duby has quickly worked up the ranks since joining the Hyatt family four years ago.  As an original member of the resort’s pre-opening team, Duby has played an integral role in launching the new Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach.  Her recognition as manager of the year was awarded based on her stellar customer service skills and attention to detail when working with her customers and sales team colleagues.  In addition to her sales and management responsibilities, she serves on the resort’s Associate Relations Committee, which helps organize events to engage and recognize associates.  An active member of the community, Duby is also a member of the Clearwater Young Professionals group.
